Every year - and the year is almost over. Traditionally, Rietberg invites you to the Advent market around the market square on Rügenstraße in December. Various traders offer a variety of specialties made of wood or textiles, herbs and spices for the kitchen or treats to give as gifts or to snack on site. The atmospheric lighting and music as well as a great range of demonstrations and Christmas food provide the perfect Christmas atmosphere. Many active people from all over Rietberg work on the stage or behind the scenes to make this small but very atmospheric market a special event. This year's Advent market will take place from Wednesday to Sunday, December 7 to 11. The event will be opened by Mayor Andreas Sunder, after which the stalls will open and the children's carousel will spin for the younger visitors. Incidentally, as every year, the Sunday is once again open for business: The stores in Rietberg invite you to go Christmas shopping from 1 pm to 6 pm.
