Bats-Secretive night owls

The European Bat Night takes place every year at the end of August. That's why tonight it's all about bats, our nocturnal insect hunters. On a walk, we will look at possible daytime roosts on houses and trees, find out what hunting strategies they use and why they are particularly protected. At dusk, bats become active and we can hopefully observe them foraging. Bats constantly emit sounds for orientation and to locate marsupials. A bat detector makes these calls audible to humans.
