Benkhausen Castle | Day of Gardens and Parks in Westphalia-Lippe
Program
- 11 a.m.: City guide of the city of Espelkamp: Guided tour with the topics of the structured garden, the oak arboretum and the orchard meadow, duration approx. 40 - 60 minutes, meeting point north axis at the pavilion
- 12 p.m.: Exciting nature explorations for families with children (5 to 12 years), duration of the tour approx. 30 minutes, meeting point pavilion
- 1 pm: rescue dog demonstration in the castle park
- 2 pm: taster course: forest bathing for young and old, meeting point pavilion
- 2 pm: lecture: Streuobstwiese ist ein Naturparadies, meeting point Streuobstwiese
- 3 pm: City guide of the city of Espelkamp: guided tour with the topics the structured garden, the oak arboretum and the meadow orchard, duration approx. 40 - 60 minutes, Meeting point north axis at the pavilion
- 3 pm: Musical performance by the children's choir "Notenkaoten" from Rödinghausen (winner of the Westphalia Weser Culture Prize 2023), in the pavilion
- 2 to 5 pm: Live music in the pavilion. Smooth & Groovy play sensitive lounge music and groovy songs, which put you in a good mood.
- 4 pm: Gymnastics mice from VfB Fabbenstedt, performance on the Schlosswiese.

Admission is free. Dogs are allowed on the grounds. The grounds are barrier-free.
Guided tours, talks and explorations are offered free of charge on this day.
The castle café "Die Rentei" and the German Automatenmuseum are also open.
