When Brother Philipp swings the wooden spoon, Sister Andrea lets you taste wines and Father Gerhard shares his knowledge of herbs, then it's time again for Europe's largest monastery market in the former Dalheim monastery.
On the last weekend in August, monks and nuns from around 40 abbeys, convents and monasteries offer their wares on the grounds of Dalheim Monastery and show what valuable products are created in their kitchens, cellars and workshops.

The range is just as diverse as the religious communities represented from Austria, the Czech Republic, France, Poland and the whole of Germany. In keeping with the tradition of the monasteries, their products stand for careful production, exceptional quality, purity and closeness to nature.

An extensive supporting program for the whole family rounds off the market visit.
