Thousands of tulips transform the Mitte section of the park into a colorful sea of flowers every spring. When the tulips have faded, the bulbs are looking for a new home. During the "Tulip digging" campaign, flower lovers with green fingers can dig up tulip bulbs as well as hyacinth and daffodil bulbs and take them home. You can give a new home to the spring flowers that have bathed the park in glorious colors for weeks. The aim is to give as many pretty eye-catchers as possible a long flower life.
You will need to bring tools such as shovels, rakes, digging forks and buckets or other containers for transportation.
The bulbs are free, but a donation is requested. Anyone wishing to take part must be in possession of a season ticket or current day ticket for the Garden Show Park. Entry for the day costs 6 euros for adults and 2 euros for children aged 4 and over.
The campaign only runs while there are still bulbs in the ground, until 1 pm at the latest.
