People of the Jewish faith have lived in Herford since the 14th century. This long history has always been characterized by phases of persecution but also by periods of stability. Persecution and extermination during the Nazi era put an end to this age-old tradition.
Meeting point: As long as the main entrance to the Tourist Information Office is closed due to construction work, the meeting point is in Abteistraße on the square in front of the district building (formerly the Sparkasse).

Children up to the age of 14 walk free of charge.
