"Since the wonderful days of creation, God has been sleeping. We are his sleep" - these verses by Rilke are the guiding principle of the 2-hectare garden. A refuge around a half-timbered house dating from 1839. Over 4000 bird protection trees, often inconspicuous in summer, create living and resting spaces. Ponds, orchards, a labyrinth: everything invites you to discover slowness - and art. Sculptures and objects - by Wunderlich, Meinecke, Ruoff, Höller, Rehling and Tonschek, among others, as well as sculptures from the Shona culture enter into a symbiosis with the landscape and await discovery.
"Against the disappearance of things" At the end of the season, the garden women of the Niedermehnen village community organize a - now extremely popular - flea market in the NaturGarten with art objects. Visitors will be offered useful, beautiful, practical, homemade and decorative items for indoors and outdoors, so that things don't disappear but live on.
Admission 2.50 euros per person as a donation for the village community.
