Ein fast perfekter Antrag

Walter (Heiner Lauterbach), a headstrong retired widower, devotes his time to testing restaurants, which he meticulously rates on the internet. During a visit, he unexpectedly meets his childhood sweetheart Alice (Iris Berben) again, whom he unsuccessfully proposed to four decades ago. While the fun-loving art professor enjoys her independent life, Walter's ambition to do better this time is awakened. Alice, however, remains reserved and makes one condition: Only when he shows genuine interest in her world could there be a second chance. Determined, Walter, who has had nothing to do with art so far, enrols as a guest student on her course. Not only does he have to impress Alice, but he also has to deal with much younger fellow students. An unexpected new chapter begins for both of them, which raises the question of whether old love really doesn't rust.
