To mark the start of the Advent season, the Heinz Nixdorf MuseumsForum invites you to its Family Day, “Time Is What You Make of It,” on Sunday, November 29, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Visitors can look forward to a varied program featuring exciting activities, creative workshops, and entertaining hands-on stations.

Young and old alike can go on a scavenger hunt to explore the museum, while the youngest visitors can let off steam on the bouncy castle to their heart’s content.

The dance group TanzBau—Center for Modern Dance—will provide special moments, delighting audiences throughout the day with their twenty-minute performances in the auditorium. Children ages eight to twelve will create creative networks using rubber bands, while teens aged 14 and older will present a modern dance performance under the theme “Tech Trends.”

Dexterity and action are also called for in various hands-on games where families can get involved themselves. Speed is key in the “Speed Dribbling” challenge. The pros from the second-division basketball team Paderborn Baskets will demonstrate how many times you can dribble a basketball in a set amount of time when they visit the HNF. The pros will be happy to sign autographs.
There’s also plenty on offer for the creative crowd: Christmas crafts invite visitors to get creative, while the wheel of fortune holds little pre-Christmas surprises.

In addition, the student lab offers exciting workshops. The motto here is: experiment, try things out, and discover!

Refreshments will also be available. Café F7 invites visitors to take a cozy break throughout the day with a family-friendly selection of food and drinks.
