Experience truffle cultivation up close - discover the secret of the noble tuber Can truffles really grow in our region? Yes - and we'll show you how! At this special event, you will experience truffle cultivation up close: from searching with specially trained truffle dogs to tasting freshly harvested summer and Burgundy truffles. Our region offers ideal conditions for truffle cultivation - not only in the wild, but also in gardens and in agriculture and forestry. Together with our truffle dog Leya, we go in search of clues. You will learn what is important when harvesting truffles and can taste the precious mushrooms for yourself. We will also impart valuable knowledge about truffle cultivation: What does a truffle tree need? How is it planted correctly? What factors are crucial for successful cultivation? You will learn all this and more during a joint planting activity. Of course, a culinary journey of pleasure is also included: Our regional truffles will be presented in a small tasting session. The event lasts around two hours. Please bring sturdy shoes and weatherproof clothing. If you are not able to walk, please let us know when you register - we will organize a nearby parking space for you (the area is not barrier-free).
